Trailering your Rocket 22 has never been easier thanks to a 1600 lb displacement, retractable keel, and deck-stepped mast. Most mid-sized vehicles will tow your boat quite easily to your favourite destination. Once out of the water, it is critical to make sure your boat is evenly supported and level on the trailer. Custom trailer bunks are included with your boat to interface between the hull surfaces and the trailer supports. The boat should be tied down with several pieces of 2-3” webbing, running from one side of the trailer, over the boat, to the other side of the trailer. Chaffing can be prevented by the use of closed-cell camping foam between the webbing and any fibreglass. The bow must also be secured to the front of the trailer, and the mast should be fixed to the deck surface with suitable foam in contact areas. All rigging and ropes should be left inside the boat. The rudder can be left on the boat, but the tiller should be lashed to prevent any movement.
